Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) ACTION PLAN Prevention Activities Gateway Employees A communication has been sent to all employees with information on the coronavirus obtained from reliable sources. All have received Health Canada’s guidelines to prevent the spread of infections. We are currently stocking our offices with additional hand sanitizer, facial tissues, paper towels and disinfectant wipes, supplies permitting. Desks are to be cleared at the end of each day as much as possible to allow for thorough cleaning. All employees have been advised that they must stay home if they develop any of the symptoms relating to the virus or have been.

Pink Shirt Day 2020

Pink Shirt Day On this day, we unite with millions of people across the world in taking a stand against bullying. The Pink Shirt Day campaign was started by two Nova Scotian teens, Travis Price and David Sheppard, after witnessing a grade 9 student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school on his first day. These two grade 12 students took a stand against homophobic bullying, which garnered media attention across the country. These brave boys saw a problem and hit it head on. They gathered others at their school and wore pink the following day to show.
